The 40th annual Maldon Folk Festival will be held in the historic township over the weekend of Friday 1st to Monday 4th November 2013.
Renowned on the Aussie music festival circuit, the festival features a wide variety of music - including traditional folk, bluegrass, Celtic, blues and roots, country folk, contemporary and world, with performers from all over Australia.
Sixteen all weather venues operate over the four day weekend - including pubs, churches, cafes and halls, with the Tarrangower Wine tent and the legendary Guinness Tent at Tarrangower Reserve.
There will be instrument, song and dance workshops, Bush Poetry events, theatrical presentations, dances and an Instrument maker’s exhibition, plus a dedicated kids venue with music and craft activities. Something for everyone at an affordable price, with a special ticket deal for families.
The Maldon Folk Festival has a unique friendly atmosphere that appeals to all ages. There are also opportunities for chalkboard sets, busking and sessions.
